The meeting of the united Maraikarpalli and Appapalli Jamaths was held on the 29th of July, 2009 at Red Star Society to form the Ramadhan Kanji Committee.

Rates for sponsoring Kanji were fixed as follows :-

*** Plain Kanji - Rs.3,000/-
*** Vegetable Kanji - Rs.3,900/-
*** Mutton Kanji - Rs.5,250/-
